what’s next?
God will only give salvation to those who (Romans 10:9-10):
Are sorry for their sins (humility)
Are willing to turn away from their sins (submission to Jesus as Lord)
Trust that Jesus' death on the cross is the only way to be forgiven and His resurrection gives us the power to become spiritually alive (faith)
What does this look like?
Acknowledge that you are a sinner who deserves Hell and ask God for His forgiveness. (1 John 1:9, 2 Corinthians 7:9-10, Luke 18:9-14)
Q: Have you acknowledged you’re a sinner who deserves hell?
Surrender to Jesus as Lord (Master and Controller) of your life. (Luke 9:23-25, Matthew 7:21-31)
Q: What sinful lifestyle(s) would you have to leave behind to live the way Jesus wants you to live? (Galatians 5:19-24)
Believe that Jesus is your Savior. Stop trusting in your own efforts to please God and trying to earn God’s forgiveness. Instead, put your full trust in what Jesus Christ has already done through His life, death and resurrection! (Proverbs 3:5-6, Ephesians 2:8-9)
Q: How would your life be different if you put the full weight of your trust in Jesus?
Q: At this time, are you willing to turn away from sin, self and life lived on your own terms to put the full weight of your trust in Jesus Christ?
