What does this mean for us?

It is impossible for this kind of perfect God:

• Totally good

• Perfectly holy

• Unable to lie

• 100% righteous

To live with this kind of sinful man:

• Not good

• Unholy

• Dishonest

• Spiritually Dead

Our sins have made a separation between us and God, and that separation isn't small. It's like we're on opposite sides of the Grand Canyon and there's an immeasurable gap between us and God because of our sin. God's on one side and we're on the other, and there's nothing we can do to get across.

Isaiah 59:2

But your iniquities (sin) have made a separation between you and your God and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.
